Over 60 events arranged to give you a chance to see and learn about the huge variety of wildlife in this area which is already well known for birds,salmon,natterjack toads, otters, geese, swans,kites and much more. Not always necessary to book.

Newton Stewart Walking Festival 11th - 17th May 2012

Over 27 guided walks over the 7 days. This is more than a walk in the hills or along the coast or amongst wonderful woodlands; this is a complete Walkfest experience for all abilities.

Spring Fling 2nd - 5th June 2012

A deservedly well reknown event that is celebrating its 10th year with over 80 artists throughout the region opening their galleries or workshops to the public. A real opportunity to discover the creativity that is becoming increasingly important to this area. Please note that most studios do not take credit card payments, so please remember to bring cash or a chequebook with you. Many of the participants will also be giving demonstrations and offering activities throughout the weekend.
